What do volunteers do?
There are two main jobs for volunteers: assisting at the therapeutic riding program, and helping out with ranch projects. Volunteers who assist at the riding program groom horses and lead horses for the disabled riders. Volunteers who participate in ranch maintenance projects help with a multitude of maintenance and clean up duties.
Do volunteers need horse experience, or are they trained?
Whether you have previous experience with horses or not, you can be a successful volunteer. RSR has created a training program utilizing more experienced volunteers to train newer volunteers on all aspects of the horses and program.
Is there a minimum age to volunteer?
Volunteers at RSR must be at least 12 years old.
What are the days and times for volunteering?
Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week. We appreciate as mush or as little as you can help out.
